Obituary of Paul E. Doiron

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul E. Doiron, husband of the late Shirley Ann Doiron of Moncton, NB on Monday, April 22, 2024. Born in St. Simon, NB, he is the son of the late Arthur and Lucy (Melanson) Doiron.

Paul was a former employee of the CN Hump Yard, retiring with 42 years’ service.

A lover of music, Paul followed in his dads footsteps as a talented musician, playing his fiddle and mandolin. Paul is best known at the age of 91 for playing and entertaining his music family three times a week between the Patrice LeBlanc Centre Murphy Ave and  Club D'Age D'or Christ Roi Dominion St. Moncton. Paul cherished and looked forward to entertaining each and every week. He felt truly blessed for the opportunity.

A loving and gentle husband, father, grampy, and great grandfather. He will live on through love, music, and stories told by his family and many friends
 
Forever loved by his daughter; Cheryl (Brian) Kervin of Riverview; his five sons, Brian Doiron of Moncton, Tony (Patricia) Doiron of Riverview, Roger Doiron of Moncton, Maurice Doiron of Dieppe and Larry (Catherine) Doiron of Moncton; fourteen grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren; sisters-in-laws; Jackie (the late Armand) and Yvonne (the late Clarence); as well as nieces and nephews.

Paul was the last surviving member of his immediate family.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife of 57 years Shirley Ann (Dunn) Doiron in 2014, grandson, James Doiron; sisters, Emelda as an infant and Anne; by his brother, Armand; also by his step-mother Marguerite Doiron, step-brother Clarence and step-sister, Rose-Marie.

The family will receive relatives and friends at Fergusons Riverview Funeral Centre on Thursday, April 25, 2024 from 12:30pm until 1:45pm.

The Funeral service will be held at Fergusons Riverview Community Chapel, 214 Pine Glen Road, Riverview (506-857-9544) on Thursday, April 25, 2024 at 2:00 pm with Fr. Charles Broderick officiating.

Interment will be in Elmwood Cemetery in the spring. 

The family wish to send their sincere appreciation to the Nurses from Extra Mural and to the entire staff at the Albert House for the wonderful care given to our father in his final days, your kindness will never be forgotten.
